First thing first. What is Hylics?

The answer is:

Yes.

I know this is vague but so is the game haha.

The game has, during it's entire playthrough, an identity crisis. Which is also what makes this game amazing.

Hylics could be described as a psychedellic Jrpg with some 80's vibes to it at times due to some of the art direction. 

The premise goes:

You incarnate Wayne, who happens to kill the moon god by accidentally throwing dynamite at it and then you started a band with your friends.

The gameplay here is pretty straightforward.

•Explore the world and talk to everything you see as they tell you some of the most random text lines ever written.

•Figure out where to go with zero idea of what even is going on.

•Kill the moon god.

As straightforward as it is it is also a super funny and interesting quest that you are on without a clue why.

When I played this game I happened to be streaming it to friends on a discord call at the same time and the laughs, the confusion and the existential crisis that the game gave them was priceless. 

If you like games like Call Of Duty, Fortnite, Final Fantasy or Resident Evil... well, it's nothing like any of those.

Hylics shine in it's own light, it is the master of it's own world and the best at doing what it does as it is the only one to do this haha.
