Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Finally, I've finished the game...
A whopping 18 hours.
Now, how was it? Let me tell you.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is pretty fucking decent. I can't lie, I was completely amazed at Pandora the first time I saw it, this world is ALIVE, shit is moving everywhere, the wind moves the grass and the leaves, the floating moutains of Pandora are creeping in the background like you're in the literal movie.

I remember seeing some screenshots and thinking, "this can't be the game right?", it really was. The screenshot gives it justice, now, of course, I cannot only speak on the game's graphics, let's tackle the story and characters.
First, the story.
It takes place after the events of the first movie, you are a Na'Vi child who happens to be in a "school" (residential school) but everything goes wrong when some "Jake Sully" attacks the base where your "school" is.
Then, Alma, one of the characters, saves you and your siblings and put all of you in a cryo pod and then, the hame fast forwards 16 years if I remember correctly.
As your character discovers his story, Pandora and how to live within it, you also do the same. Exploring this planet was nothinf short of amazing.

Alright, now, I said all the good stuff, what about it's flaws?
First of all I wanna start this section by saying a big FUCK YOU to all the critics who buried this game because it was a Ubisoft title. The game is good, especially if you get it on sale. I had my money's worth for sure.
Now for the flaws.
The combat sometimes feels amazing and other times not that great, I ended up turning down the difficulty because I just couldn't find much enjoyement with the combat. That doesn't mean that the game doesn't have it's moments!
I remember a section where I was fighting a bunch of mechs and soldiers in a base in the plains and it was hella difficult but it I was basically poking and running and using movement to confuse the a.i and beat them. Felt great. So it does have it's moments but for me, the combat aas definitely the weak side of this game which I expected.

The story, the exploration and the setting is where this game shines. Is it a crazy deep story? Not really but it does what an Avatar game should do which is to make you feel like you are in this world, as a Na'Vi, trying to find your way through the world and your own past.
Rating this game is difficult because it's not the best but it's also pretty freaking good. I mean, 18 hours in 2 sittings? Yeah.
I'd say that if you are already a fan of the universe and the movies, give it a shot and I will rate for someone who does enjoy these because the others won't play it anyways.
I give it a super solid:
